In 2014 I participated in the Young Women Leader (YWL) program with the Women's Leadership Forum of the Coachella Valley (WLF). The goal of the YWL program is to guide local young women into roles of leadership and success, as they prepare for college, business and life. Through the program I was able to take on an internship with Annette Said, an Account Executive with Time Warner Cable. During this internship I helped increase clients bottom line and branding awareness by putting their product in front of their customers on networks provided by Time Warner utilizing television spots, digital and online solutions. I did this by meeting with local clients and having needs-based consultations to customize advertising packages based on their client base.  After mutually concluding which channels would best serve their audience, I helped oversee their commercial shoots and ensured that their needs were met.

At the conclusion of my internship, I received a merit based scholarship from the Young Women Leader program. I was also chosen to come back to numerous YWL and WLF events to speak about my experience with the program and inspire incoming groups of girls. I mentored a few of these girls on their transition to college and helped them in determining their career path.
